Side effects of the red yeast rice is an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, closing of throat, swelling of the lips, tongue or face, hives), unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially if it is accompanied by symptoms of influenza. Other, less serious side effects are upset stomach, heartburn, bloating, or cause other gastrointestinal symptoms or gastrointestinal and dizziness.

Do not drink alcohol while taking Red Yeast Rice! It is also advised against taking niacin, red yeast rice.

I looked dirty on side effects of niacin and contain anything, it was a headache. But when I looked at side effects of niacin, which makes the government a headache. I have the regular niacin and no headaches and I've taken with red yeast rice. You may wish to discuss with your doctor or keep trying for a few days later to see whether your body's allowance.

He does not know what either niacin flush, but I'll take the red yeast rice twice a day without a headache. If your doctor has recommended that you should ask him.

I do not see the red yeast rice as a cause of headache. Niacin, on the other hand, it is known that migraine / headache remedy, but not everyone reacts to niacin in the same way, can actually cause headaches. Make sure you get enough water every day to take niacin, sometimes that is all you need.

This is not an answer to your question, but I have to pipe in that there are other alternatives to Lipator if this combination is not for you.

Apple pectin, the type is for the manufacture of homemade jam, a soluble fiber that helps lower cholesterol. Take 1 / 2 teaspoon 1-1/2 teaspoons daily in juice. Also lecithin, a pellet of food in liquid or capsules. Some people found the cinnamon, take them to lower your blood sugar, cholesterol also dropped a few points.

And now, food is a red yeast rice, various herbs good for the liver (where cholesterol is produced) combined.

If I did, I sort of extension for a few days, then start only the red yeast rice for a few days, adding niacin and then see whether the return of the headache. So, if you ask your doctor, make sure that the correct dose purchased.

I had no side effects of Red Yeast Rice. The no-flush niacin is the cause of headaches. I have friends who had to take account of them. I never have.

Personally, I think the headaches are worth the pain.
