Will a dual core cpu work on a quad core motherboard? - quad cpu motherboard
I have a dual-core CPU, it is, I had to switch to a quad-core system, but must use the dual-core CPU. Can I get a motherboard quad-core operation of a dual-core processor, so you my software processing can be updated in the future? Thanks for the help!

Socket 775 motherboard that supports two quad really help support all the new socket 775, so that they can not find a "double" in no way what it takes to ensure that the room you can get the number of management, the CPU (it is now known as the Conroe 65nm CPU (for Dual E6xxx of the series) and Kentsfield (such as a series Q6xxx Quad ") have FSB 1066 MHz, and are equipped with almost all new Socket 775 boards compatible. .. but it is also known as" Penryn "45nm known ... There are 2 types of these also Wolfdale (dual e7xxx and e8xxx) and Yorkfield (quad q9xxx) All these (except e7xxx) have 1333MHz FSB, and therefore can only motherboard with a FSB of 1333 MHz work at least ... so remember to test it before buying it ... oh yes, and faster, the better.
